I have a single plant that I'm growing out back of my house in my yard. It isn't in a pot or anything - I just planted it in the ground. Is that okay? It's been about 7 weeks and it's 7-8" tall, is that normal? I'm on my 6th node starting my 7th node, again is this normal?
Since I'm growing it with only sunlight at the moment. I'm guessing it gets direct sunlight for 12 hours and none for 12 - so 12/12. Is this okay for it being outside?
Finally, the first leafs that sprouted, the two first ones turned completley yellow and shrivelled up and fell off. Is this going to harm my plant? How many nodes are needed before it starts to flower? Is it going to take longer to flower since I obviously cannot control my light cycle?
I'm in Maryland, USA - so when can I expect my plant to start flowering on its own?
Thanks to who can answer! :rasta:
thats pretty small for a plant that age ... I suspect it was an indoor strain, that is getting too much sun, intimidated ... plus, maybe planted too early, light hours still too short ... and, improper soil and drainage ... if it's still alive and looking OK, I'd leave it alone ... expect it to enter flowering, around early August, maybe ? ... don't abuse it with a bunch of additives ... give it a 1/2-strength dose of fertilizer, ONCE per week ... despite what you may hear, plain old Miracle-Grow will be just fine ... remember: 1/2 strength, from the label instructions ... and, next attempt, do your research, and have your soil properly prepared, before planting, etc. ... it could be three feet tall today, when done right ... good luck  ... :smokin:
