    question about cloning

You should be able to get away with it 2 weeks in, they might take a little longer than normal to root though.

as for how many... it depends on the size of the plant, but for every clone you take you are also going to reduce the yield of your plant since you are removing bud sites every time.

    question about cloning

Im actually in the same boat. Im just starting week 4, so Im on day 22. I have about 8 branches from thebottom that never stretched up to the top. They are growing buds, I have hairs all over. I need to know if I can cut them off and get some root hormone and put them in smaller pots. I cant imagen them growing that much weed as my plant is about 28 inches tall, shes huge. But ya, is there a guideline for how long in you can clone, and on top of that maybe someone can put a link here for where I can read up on cloning. Id like to clone just so I can make more female plants from the start but I havnt been able to find any decent information stating whens a good time to start before flower, how long after flower, exactly what I need to do inorder to be successful.

ACTUALLY You can (not saying it will) increase your yield of your plant from taking cuttings. Considering a lot of times some light can't always reach the WHOLE canopy, you take cuttings from them, then that way you will have all the energy going into the other bud sites. That way you end up with denser buds as to little more "fluffy" buds. I'm not saying in any way though that this always work by doing that. I'm just saying that there is a possibility that you can increase yields on a plant that has had cuttings taken from them. Plus, if you take the cuttings, root them into clones, then put them in your grow room at the same time you flower your other plants, then that clone will more than likely get more weight on it, then having been at the bottom of the canopy with minimal light.

Sorry if that sounds confusing, I'm :stoned: and was in a hurry to type it so I can go back and get :stoned: before bed. Happy Smoking!

P.S. When you take a branch from the plant it's called a cutting and then when it is rooted, it is called a clone. Never a clone right off the plant without have being rooted.

    question about cloning

Quick question to Italiano's statement about flowering the clone in the same flowing room it was in?..Do you get a delayed crop time on the clone one as you would with the cutted plant when it has to be rerooted and is allowed to continue its grw? Basically im just asking, wouldn't the whole, cut, root, clone process cause the bud development to slow from this??

    question about cloning

yea, cosign. I was to understand that new cuttings for clones should undergo a week of 24/0 light to redevelope a root system before they can be put into flowering?

    question about cloning

I had an idea to leave a couple cuttings in the same room, same light cycle as the mom they were taken from 11D/13L, rooting powder into jiffy7 pellets inside 2litre coke bottles. 2 weeks into flowering. 400w MH 4000k.
Thought leaving them in with mom may reduce the stress and speed up rooting, being in the same environment, light etc. With the 13 on schedule that may have helped a bit.
10 days so far and the tips are starting to show through the sides of the pellets. Was pretty easy, just kept them moist, covered and the general warmth of the room kept them snug enough.

    question about cloning

Well I made the cuttings but I didnt use a dome. Didnt scarify, made little cuts. Didnt do a lot of stuff I found on here. So after day 3 I checked them and they were just looking horrible. So i got pissed and took them out. The next morning I got a 36 peat pelet greenhouse that had a water maze on the bottom where the pelets sat in. Pretty cool. I actually left a whole extra node in all the cuttings (I tried to clean what I already did but that didnt work) so I re cut, scarified, applied roothormone and stuck em in the pelet about 3/4inch in. Already they are looking so much better. The arms are starting to prop back up and the leaves have regained some size. Its nice and warm but Im not putting my plants on 24/0 or 18/6 they are with the flowering plant. So hopefully that doesnt make a difference, and as JJIM said he is did it under 12/12 so. so ya.
