Your pots are over 2 feet wide and only 9 inches deep? :wtf: It's probably better to have pots that are deeper than they are wide.

If you're watering them everyday, you are watering them too much. Weed don't like to live in a swamp.

You're probably feeding them too much as well.

If your leaves are really pale green, you're not feeding it enough. If your plant is dying, chances are you're feeding it too much.
