    Droopy - Over/Under/Root Bound?

Here are a few pics of our babies at 2 weeks old. They all seemed to be doing great but now one is very droopy. Two were droopy last night but one perked up after dark period (18/6)

The soil runoff Ph was right around 6.6.

Could they possibly be root bound at this age (pot is 6" (4" high)). I water every other day when meter says that the soil is dry 4 inches down so I don't think it is over watering, but I could be wrong. Could it be underwatering? I watered just the droopy one this morning to see if it perks up, if not then most likely it is not underwatering.

Any help is appreciated. No ferts are being used yet, was going to wait 3 weeks, but maybe they need it now. Not sure, just cant figure out why so droopy and sad looking.

Your soil mix doesn't have any ferts in it does it ? Other than that I would say underwatered. Can't see it being rootbound yet. Sounds like your on the right path.

definitely not rootbound ... throw that moisture meter away, they're useless ... best way to gauge its water needs, is by 'feel', lift your pots, you will quickly learn to judge its dryness, by its weight ... your soil looks good, plenty of perlite for drainage  ... make sure there is no standing water in the bottom pan, and stick a pencil up thru the drain hole, occasionally, make sure it's clear ... sometimes, the soil can clot up, and block drains ... they look plenty green, likely not needing nutes yet ... I have trouble opening large photo files, (cellular internet, priced per usage), so I cant be more specific, sorry ... good luck :smokin:

Looks to me like heat stress and overwatering, (watering too often) and I'll bet they are ready for some half-strength nutes. Raising the lights an inch or two wouldn't hurt.

Might want to do something about that fire hazard, too. GFCI's are not to be trusted THAT much. Great for power spikes...but water and electricity can cause fires, (not necessarily power spikes) which the GFCI doesn't protect against.

I second the 'ditch the probe' sentiments. I've never heard of one actually working properly for cannabis.

Thank you for the responses. I don't believe there are any nutes in soil. It is 80% Black Gold Organic, 20% potting soil and lots of perlite.

I will use finger for moisture test from now on and see how it goes. Heat stays around 81 F (used to be much higher, previous post but is under control now).

Once runoff occurs I dump water out of trays so that it does not sit there.

Glad to hear root bound should not be the problem. Now just to figure out which water issue is the issue since posts already say underwatering and overwatering.

I will hold off another week or two on ferts since no one seems to think that is the issue.

No fire hazard. Water is kept away from plugs and is monitored constantly. Thank you for the input though, will watch it even further just in case.

    Cool.
However, it's not that I don't believe your diligence...but accidents happen. And since safety appears secondary to you, it's now more of a warning to other's not to trust GFCI's to protect from fires, as that's not what they are protecting against.
Hopefully there is nobody else in the house you are putting at risk.

Ok. I will mount the power strip on the back wall so that it is off the ground and completely away from the water.

Any other ideas on the droopy plant?

I'm really not trying to be anal about it, but I have practical experience with this. One night my wife and I watched our lawnmower blenny splash just a little water out of the back of the aquarium. Couldn't have been more than a couple of drops. We mentioned to each other that maybe we should cover the opening better, but didn't really put much more thought into it. A few minutes later I was outside, and saw the fire climbing up behind the tank. The tank lights never went out, yet the GFCI was on fire.

    Droopy - Over/Under/Root Bound?

I have a small prob with a plant, but after reading the forums i had come to the conclusion it was prob over neut, or poss over watering,
But the plant is prob almost 3 foot now and the roots have come out of the holes in the bottom of the pot and are sort of sitting in the drip tray, its been like this for a while now with no probs, But now ive seen this thing called root bound !!! bit worried that this maybe the prob i have,
Leaves slight curl and slightly tinted yellow, no as bad as any pics ive seen thou, and i may have been miricle growing them a bit to often, ( watering with that gear)
Ive only just put them on a 12/12 cycle today,
Think poss should have done this sooner, but is my first attempt,
Will get a few pics later today,
    Any advice would be great
She is under 1200w of light, one high sodim the other a norm grow light i think, again not sure if this is mega light 4 one plant, just wanted to give her the best chance poss to get mass
