I work for this company: ProSource Worldwide

We offer a 90-day no-risk trial on all our LED lights and a 3-year warranty.

We are also offering a deal like no one else: LED Grow Light Challenge

I would have posted this here even if I didn't work for them. I was a customer before I was an employee and the lights kick ass.

But, I don't want you guys to think I'm a spammer, either. I'm not.

This is the second time in less then a week I've seen your site mentioned.

I've looked at the site and it is just full of marketing BS. Your claims are wildly exaggerated...both in how much area they will cover and what size HPS they will replace, and that is thru out your product line.

Plus things like "sunburst orange" LEDs are used for canabiniod production....
First, I have never seen sunburst orange listed in any LED mfg catalogs. There is orange and even hyper-orange, but no such thing as "sunburst orange", what are your sources for these diodes?
Second, can you point to some science (research papers or trials) that show sunburst orange is responsible for cannabiniod production?

All I see is marketing hype and bullshit.
As to your not being a spammer...well if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, it probably is a :spam3: duck.

Heh... well, I can live with that. I just thought I'd put it out there. It's a "take it or leave it" kinda thing. I expect some folks to have your reaction. I expect more folks to have a more open mind, though. The average person will see the 90 day trial and see it for what is - and it's not just marketing hype.

So, whether you think LEDs are worth buying or not, you'll have to admit that we either have something - for real - or we're completely insane. If people don't think the lights work, we'll take a beating, won't we? So, we put our money where our mouth is and have real growers evaluate our product to show we are for real.

All I wanted to do is let y'all know about us. I did that. Now, the more adventurous will be interested and the more sensible will wait for the proof to come in. In a year, it will be common knowledge. But, for now, it sounds impossible. Because no one else has done it. Well, someone had to figure it out, eventually, right? Is it really so hard to believe that day has come?

By the way, I thought maybe it would be helpful to shed some light on what's going on with manufacturing in China. First, there are many manufacturers there making the UFO models, not just one. These manufacturers vary wildly in both their manufacturing skill and business ethics.

For example, I'm sure most of you are aware that there are a lot of LEDs out there for $100 - $200. Have you wondered how that is possible, considering the cost of 1 watt LEDs? The answer is simple: the diodes are 0.45 watts, not 1. They look identical, though. You would need to measure their output to know the difference - or see their invoices.

I hope this helps explain what's happening in the market now. Diode prices have not gone down significantly and the newer diodes, which are closer to peak photosynthetic values, are in great demand. Some laws you can't break. The law of supply and demand is one of them. There is no free lunch is another.

    Micheal420,
Well the truth be told, OldMac has already been growing with LED's for a couple of years. So Has Weezard. In fact there quite a few of us here, myself included, that have grown fat sticky stinky buds with LEDs. So we know that it's possible, but we also know what's gonna fly and what ain't.

    1 watt LED's just don't cut it !!!!
They don't provide enough photo energy (measured in micro-moles).
They don't provide enough canopy penetration.
3 watt LED's begin to do the job.
    5 watt LED's are better.
15 watt LED's are currently the best single emitter LED package that can be easily sourced.

So go back to your boss and tell him that he better get cracking because the products you taut as being cutting edge are sadly being left in the dust. We have better home made LED lights being made by the foks on this board than the stuff you are trying to hawk at inflated pricing. I'd rather have one of Weezard's 5 LED 75 watt lamps than your 90 watt UFO (how many LED's?), and both Procyon and TI Bloom blow your gear from here to the next galaxy.

Actually, we've found it's possible to overload particular processes with too much light. We're happy with what we have achieved with 180 watts and I think any fair assessment will prove what I'm saying.

I appreciate your responses and I understand your points of view. We are aware of the current state of technology of both large scale manufacturers and hobbyists. HID Hut, for example, has probably spent hundreds of thousands of dollars on R&D over the last few years, if not more. I won't add to the confusion, though, by interjecting any new ideas or arguments here. I don't think it would ever amount to anything more than disagreement without end. So, what's the point?

In any case, talking badly or disrespectfully about what anyone else is doing in this field is counterproductive, to be nice about it. But, it's all too common.

They say you should be the change you want to see in this world. I'd like a world with less bickering. Certainly, we can agree on that, right?

    Micheal420,

Why don't you contact the boards administration and request to buy advertising space here?

:wtf:If you think you and your other shill entity is going to come to a board that I consider my communitiy and sell inferior chinese crap with a lot of marketing BS and lies, and not have me call you on it, you are mistaken.

BTW I not looking to debate or bicker with you, just going to continue to point out to the innocents here that you are marketing crap. See, real simple.
