The ph of mineral water from natural springs can range from 5.5ish up to 8.4ish, depending on the location it's harvested from...so adjusting ph may be necessary.

Plus, there's the micro's like sulphur, calcium, magnesium, which if added with every watering can build-up. Personally, if I wanted those compounds in my water, I'd add them myself, at the quantities and times I desire. (molasses)

I am curious why plants would absorb CO2, strip the carbon atom off, and transpire O2...just to re-absorb the O2 through the root system later. My guess is it's air that's necessary, and that it's not necessarily just the oxygen the plant is after. Just a guess, though.

Careful using H2O2 in soil...it can kill the beneficial biotics and the roots themselves if overused.

Not sure about styrofoam...other than the ecological damage it does.
