Seeds:
When seeds are all you've got, they are better.
Seeds are generally easier for newbies to bring to life, and some newbies have difficulties with the whole cloning process.
If purchasing all of your seeds, it can get expensive.
Most breeders back-cross...some don't. If not back-crossed, the variability of quality and growth habits increases.
Growing plants from seed is a fairly rewarding experience.

Clones:
Clones are a carbon copy of the clone mother.
If taking clones from a known female of quality you don't waste time, effort and resources on males. That's why some growers keep clone mother's, but you'll need a seperate veg and flower room if growing indoors.
You can pre-sex vegging plants by cloning them, and placing the rooted clones directly into flower. (keeping track of which clone came from which plant)
If you want seeds to continue the strain or to cross strains, you will need to grow-out a male at some point for his pollen. Or, you can learn femming techniques, but femming can get real tricky, and can risk damage to your genetics if done wrong. Especially if chemically-induced.
Takes extra stuff for clones. Rooting hormone, clone dome, a little practice and patience...
The process of rooting clones can be a nerve-wracking experience filled with panic and doubt.

Once you get a system down, keeping a clone mother (or re-vegging) is the way to go, if you have the space and equipment. But regardless, pollinating for a fresh supply of seeds before you run out of 'em, is strongly recommended.
