This Might Be A Dumb Question

Not sure where this should go either. But anywho, a friend of mine scored some hash this week and invited me over to sample it. He was telling me about some older hippie guy he met that claimed he could tell a bunch of stuff about the strain and growing methods JUST by looking at a dried bud, such as the medium used (hydro/soil), nutrients used, lighting used, how long it took to flower, as well as the name of the strain and where it originated, just by looking at the dried bud. I didn't really want to start an argument so I just said "Oh wow, cool" and let it slide, but is it at all possible to do this? Common sense tells me its not possible, but perhaps I am wrong? :wtf:

My guess is the guy is just blowing smoke to make it sound like he knows what he's talking about to n00bz, so I really want to find him and have him look at my homegrown buds and see if he really can do it or not and then call him out when he's wrong. :thumbsup:

I've known a lot of old hippies. I've known a lot of old hippies to be full of crap. I've known a lot of old hippies looking for attention and credibility from younger hippies by talking crap. I've known a lot of old hippies that talk crap because they want people to think that they some kind of guru, medicine man, spiritual guide type. I've known a lot of old hippies that are just deluded burn outs.
