Pre-employment Drug screening

Hellos all.

I've been out of work for a bit and a buddy of mine tells me that his place of employment will be hiring soonish he suspects and with my resume I'm fairly sure I could land a job there with my eyes closed (right up my ally n such). Only problem is they pee test, and I'm a pretty active smoker (as in pretty much daily, high quality stuff for probably near a year). I haven't smoked since my Birthday (June 2nd) so its been a little under 3 weeks thus far. He says the hiring most likely won't start for another 2 or 3 weeks, so probably a total of 5 or 6 weeks without smoking. I'm about 5'8 and weigh around 215-220 (my weight seems to go back and forth between those numbers) however even though i ping pong in that 5 pound range i did recently lose like 10 pounds or so, probably over the last 2 months (eating healthy and such does that i suppose), I'd say my metabolism is on the low side.

Basically just want an opinion on if I should be ok for the test or if I'm going to need to use a substitute. I'd prefer to keep it simple and just pee clean myself, but I'm prepared to do whatever I need to do to pass the test, so let the opinions and advice roll!

Buy some at home tests through the internet or at Walgren's or Walmart, CVS, etc. Its cheaper on line. That way you can see if you are clean or not. With your smoking pattern and weight you may be a candidate for 30+ days to be clean but every one metabolizes THC at different rates. You have time and its good that you are abstaining. I was in a similiar situation and had 3-4 weeks to clean up. If you test yourself and you are not clean, go on a high fiber diet, take metamucil, do some intense cardio workouts. About 3 days before your test stop working out and veg out. Read up on dillution. There is a lot of great info here so I encourage you to read up on it and do a little homework. I find your name ironic because I suffer from pretty intense insomnia when I'm not smoking, so I actually read IamN2Pots substitution and dilution threads so I've got a pretty good idea of what my options are, but I always like as many opinions as I can get because there are people here who are faaaaar more experienced then I can ever hope to be (FBR) and everyone looks at a situation from a slightly different point of view, and that can provide you with something you may not have seen before.

On average a heavy smoker will take 30 to 60 days to pass. So I would get some cheap thc test strips to test yourself and check up on subbing as a backup method.

Yeah another tried and true use for medical marijuana. I will be going back to some restful, peaceful nights in a few more days. And I couldn't agree more on the support and information this site provides.
