Ph of the water as you want it 6.2 - 6.8 range.

The leaves that are yellow are normal and things look pretty good for a first time grow.

Just make sure you have scripts for ALL of your plants. Check your county requirements as most it's 6 per couny per script, don't be greedy or stupid and do more, if so, cut them down!

Thanks for bringing us along and keeping us up to date as it's great fun to see what others are doing!!!

    Thanks everyone,

Lanie,I appreciate the wise advice, I am right with you on that I will not violate the law, In my county six plants is the limit so that is what I am growing.. If I cant make it with six this year I better figure some indoor .. Being a first time grower and having way to much time I have damn near named every leaf...LOL So at times I need to back off.. But this ph thing is getting to me.. Seems pretty standard but I do not understand the fluctuations involved.. For ex last night I go out to my Barrel 55 gal check the ph 7.2 straight out of the tap.. It sat in the barrel from 0800 to 2000.. So I add 1 TBSP of ph down it drops to 7.0 then I add 1 more and it goes to 6.8 ok perfect right??? well I run out there at 0700 and check the ph well its 7.2 again wtf?? How does it go up and down all the time?? How long should I wait to check after adding the ph down??? once I add it I have a pump that re circ's the water and a pump to water with.. I turn the water hose and use it as re circ also.. so I know the water is mixed.. any suggestions.. Also could the fluctuation in ph cause the yellow It seems a few outer leaves are turning now Thanks again peeps for any and all comments:rasta:

Ok Guys something has terribly gone wrong.. It seems to be only in Big girl, Last night I went out to check and she looked sick.. The leaves are starting to yellow fast and a bunch of them.. Not just the inside leaves all the way out also compared to wimpy she seems real stunted... Not sure what I am dealing with, Maybe Nute lock,? or a deficiency,? as I read it seems the both have similar symptoms.. Hard to diagnose!!! so I went with my gut and gave her a flush to the best of my ability.. In a 45 gallon container 3 to 1 would be like 130 gal.. I dont have that much water so I gave around 40 to 50 gal of just ph water... I will watch for a few days

Im sorry to hear about your girl. Id say the flush was a good Idea, It is normal to have leaves around the bottom of the plant go yellow, Im always pulling them off as she goes, doesnt seem to be a big problem for me at least. Being outside could mean a bug issue, Ive herd some gnats have larva that eat at the roots? Check to see if you roots really close to the surface, maybe add some dirt on top, I actually found a lot of roots closer to the surface to I added an inch or two. I dont have any experience with nute lock tho, hope thats not the issue.

Ok here Is the story In full!!! July 26th I flushed Big girl then I flushed her again this time with clear ex on july 28th so like 110 gallons of water Between the two flushes .. What a motha fuker so I checked the runoff PH at 6.0 to 6.2.. I am using fox farm Ocean forest soil.. The last time that I added nutes was on july 19th.. and that was 2tsp per gallon of grow big and 3 tbsp of big bloom per gallon.. I have checked and tried to maintain the water ph around 6.8 ..

The symptoms are the same on both of my big girls so I am trying to go through a process of elimination... First be dam sure what the water ph is.. Second no more fukin nutes.. Third flush the Bitch... and fourth figure out WTF!!!! I feel after hours of reading that I may have a Phosphorus Problem.. The other day there were some Leaves with almost black or purple looking spots.. And my good buddy plucked them before I could get the pics... The plant I say is so BLUE she looks GREEN!! LOL They both share the Burnt edges and the red brown spots all over.. with sporadic full yellow leaves... Also tonight I spoted some thrips.. So another dose of Azatrol.. My head is all messed up Im sure I missed all the important shit.... If you got an Idea and need some info Please let me know.. I need to fix the girls..

Dude, the plants look awesome man. Besides ur lil problem with the yellowing leaves, they look very healthy. Ur yard is very legit too, good setup.

I have the same problem with the water ph going up, but as a suggestion (which ive tried) since ur water starts at 7.2 add all ur nutes to the 7.2 water then check the ph agiain. It should drop due the acidity of nutrients and ba. I only did this on one feeding and didnt notice any problems, I dont have a ph pen yet so Im not exactly sure this will work. Could elimate the need to add ph up or down to ur feeding schedule. Idk, jus a thought as Im not a professional yet at growing but if ur willing to experiment a lil, try this on ur little plant or take some test clones.

leafs look to be cause by heat stess.

Are you on a muncipal water supply or on a well? The well water can change the Ph dramatically during to season, but most domestic water suppliers are right at 7.0 all of the time. Be sure to have a good methodolgy for stirring up the water before you use it and if you're using an electronic water meter, sell it to one of your buddies, and they are not too reliable.

If you are on a well then I would use flush on the plants about every 3-4 weeks to eliminate minerial / salinity problems with the roots, but that's dependent upon the minerals in your water. If you have a local water company many will test your water for free (aas then they think they can sell you the equipment to fix your water issues... LOL!!)

I always like the Ph test kits where you fill the vial and then check the color. You can't really screw up. Check it all the time you fertalize or water and make the adjustments necessary to make it 6.2-6.8.

What part of the state are you? (the general area / city area - me no want your stinking street address!!! LOL!!!) as I have found that specific plants in one area do much better than the same monkeys 15 miles away.

You've done a pretty good job for a first timer!! (Pat yourself on the back!!!)
