People need to realise Hip Hop is made up of Four elements,
Which is a lifestyle/Culture.
Rapping is one element,
which has been marketed and commercialised beyond belief these days.. It's fucking pitiful!

Theres some good music out there, we just have to search alot harder to sift through all the bullshit.

being in the music business, i can say for sure that rap/hiphop is easily the worst to deal with. i record people for a living and i charge what i consider a fair price. however, i apparently charge too much for hiphop. can't tell you how many times i worked on a song where the artist was bragging about how much money/drugs they had and not want to pay more than 20 bucks for the 6 or 7 hours i spent polishing their turd. they can't even hook up a decent sack! sure, there's people who take their time and do it right but 99% think they're famous just because their voice is on a cd. i blame the parents.

and these arent just the local shitty wannabes either. some of these artists have grammy nominations and are taken very seriously by a lot of people. i'd name names, but i don't want to get shot at.

Any suggestions of stuff I should be listening to that will change my opinion? I used to pride myself in being able to appreciate most music forms, but hip hop today just sucks...same goes for modern r'n'b...:dance::dance:
