Please help me wire a thermostat!

Hi -

I've successfully installed a Master Flow PT6 thermostat - the problem is that it is turning my fan ON when I turn the thermostat DOWN, and OFF when I turn the thermostat UP - the opposite of what I want ... this thermostat is intended for an attic fan (e.g. it turns on your attic fan when the temp. in your attic reaches the temp. you set on the thermostat) - I've tried swapping the wiring and get the same result ... any help / advice would be greatly appreciated! Please see the attached pic too!

so... let me get this straight...

you turn the thermostat down - meaning you are setting it to a lower temperature and the fan is turning on due to that.

and when you turn the thermostat up - meaning setting it to a higher temperature, the fan is not turning on.


and that is not your desired result?

I must be confused, because that is the exact behaviour you probably want... temperature goes above the set temperature and fan turns on to cool things down.
