thanks for that link, i hadn't heard of zyprexa, but it's not any new situation....dangerous drugs being legal, while marijuana is still outlawed. these are the kind of things that make me crazy, it's completely senseless

Its all about the money. If your looking for ethics in the pharmecuetical companies forget it. I've tried 3 different medications for my arthritis. They all induced vomiting and severe nausea and the side effects include death. I've told my doctor to go back and get some education before she prescribes these poisons.

Yeah I'm in the same predicament with both knees. There are no acceptable arthritis meds out there other than cannabis. I've got a sister that is prescribed an arthritis medication that is $300 per pill, 4 pills a month. Insane.

Cannabis not legal but this is?????
when the government is trying to shrink healthcare costs, why would it not want people staying home from the doctor and pharmacy and just grow and use their own medicine?
it would save a ton of money in the long run because sooner or later we are going to have socialized healthcare in america and if marijuana can keep people from using government dollars for expensive pills, why would they be opposed?

I still don't understand how a man made government can outlaw a God given plant. On US currency it says "In God we Trust" but that's apparently not true. Something is wrong here.
The US federal government classes mj as a class 1 narcotic, meaning it has no medical applications. Yet the US department of health recently was granted a US patent on mj cannabinoids. Something is wrong here.
Pharmacutical companies are nothing short of criminal enterprises....and we let them get away with it. Pfizer the makers of Lipitor, a statin drug that is the leading cause of fibromyalgia, now makes and markets a drug called Lyrica for treatment of....... fribromyalgia. Something is wrong here.Keep it civil please, gentlemen. -StinkyAttic

Yeah, I'm pissed off too. Not to derail your topic, but 3 kids in my area just got mowed down by another drunk driver over the weekend. Sudbury News - 3 teens killed in Valley collision
Alcohol has caused so much trauma in so many people's lives....and yet pot is illegal. If that guy was at home chillin with his plants, he wouldn't be out in his car driving over other people's kids.

What makes everything more ironic is, I've lost more friends to drunk driving than anything else. Have seen many good people come and go from alcohol abuse.
