    The First Wave: Alaskan Ice

I am currently starting a one man campaign to restore the earth of arctic shelf ice. To do so I did the only thing I could possibly think of: clone my Alaskan Ice in order to replenish the world shortage on our hands! My clones are all about 4" in length, cut at 45°, dipped in clonex rooting gel. I will be misting them twice a day with RO water + Clonex clone solution. Here are some pics of them in their new home underneath my CFLs in the clone/mom room. I've got 11, I'm hoping 8-10 make the cut for my first scrog grow in the next couple months. My Alaskan Ice from seedling is currently in my flowering chamber so for the next few weeks, until about July 4th-11th, they will be under the CFL. Soon I will move my clones to the clonejet sprayer clone box I made. When they move to the other chamber they are gonna get about 2 weeks underneath my 1000w MH while I begin my first scrog, then will get about 8 weeks of 1000w HPS. I'm making a support structure out of PVC and will be making the screen by taping bamboo stakes across the square frame with electrical tape. The grid will have 3"x3" spaces.

Any questions or tips feel free to fire away!

I'm undecided on whether to FIM or not. I'm afraid I'm gonna make a mistake and screw it up. Do I FIM once its under the MH or in my clone box?

I'd leave off doing anything like fim until you've seen roots

After you transplant them, wait a few days to a week to let the plant get adjusted, then you can FIM or top, or whatever you want.

I would suggest doing one of the methods. If you only have a handful of plants, and ur going to be growing under a 1000w light, you want as much surface area of the plant exposed to the light. Having a nice even canopy is actually pretty easy if u do all the plants at the same time.

I have a blueberry clone about a month old, i just transplanted it to a 4 gal container last week. Today i took the little tip of the plant and tied it away from the light. (loosely!!!) I use the wire ties that come with garbage bags, make a loose loop around the area i tie down, and then tie the string to that. it doesnt damage the plant like the string could by cutting into it.

    have fun!

Weekly update. Clones have all learned to stand on their own and have tiny growth from nodes but no roots poking out of the bottom of my plugs. Mom is still recovering from surgery.

Well we've rooted so we're going to the aero machiner I made. Time to get some rest at night and hopefully grow big and strong! Girls were a little traumatized from moving but I'm sure they'll be alright.

    Water:
    200ppm CalMag
    200ppm Botanicare Pro Grow
    a drop of superthrive

Shoot me any questions you'd like!

I was thinking of getting some AI seeds. Is this your only grow of them or did you have a grow already of AI? Just wanted to see how the smoke was.

They are looking good so far.
