Friend got caught in college with small amount of marijuana/acid safe to smoke?

A friend of mine got caught in college in march with about .5 gram of marijuana and 3 hits of acid, also a grinder and a bowl were confiscated. This was in February and he has already dealt with the university and is just being fined since it is is his first time getting caught. However, the city's police department has not yet gotten back to him but will since it normally takes the cities department a very long time since it is a major city, no questions asked. They have up to a year to get back to him. When they get back to him, will they pee test him immediately? He really wants to smoke but is worried that they will pee test him right when they get back to him. Is this true? Can he smoke and be safe?:rastasmoke::jointsmile:

The cops won't pee test him.

If the cops do get back to him, they will most likely give him a summons to appear in court. Your friend should prepare for a random knock on the door. Don't have the place clouded up when they come and don't answer the door with a bong in your hand and you'll be fine.

I wouldn't worry about a pee test until a judge orders one. He might get ordered to pee test as part of a probation order. The legal system is pretty slow. It could take months before he goes to court and gets sentenced to probation...if at all.

But, I ain't no lawyer, what do I know?

With the acid they might be just be waiting to gather more evidence to obtain a search warrant and then he could wind up in bigger troubles. I'd say he could smoke pot until he gets a court date, then should stop immediately and wait to see what happens in court.
