New guy cabinet help
Hey everyone this is my first post here woohoo:thumbsup:. Of course I have questions. I'm looking to grow 1 plant at a time just for my own personal use nothing special. I want to grow New York City Diesel. I saw the plans/thread for the two 22 gallon rubbermaid setup. Is this a good setup for what I want to grow? Is it tall enough? If not any suggestions? I don't have any free closets to use so it would have to be something that I build. Again just one plant at a time with maybe room for me to get a clone going int time to take the place of the flowering plant but that's it. Great forum guys and hope to post more and hear from someone soon. Thanks

you could do the rubbermaid or even a nightstand table of sorts and seal it off.
do a hell of a lot of reading and you'll come to find out that plants range from all shapes, sizes, finishing time, medicinal values, flavors, aromas, and even outrageous colors.
look in my sig or find some threads doing with smaller plants.
also refer to filo6942. he has some amazing dank clones in small areas.

You should also research what lighting will be best for you. Whether it be LEDs, CFL's, T5 tubes, or small HID's.
I can only recommend LEDs or CFL's because you are doing a single plant in a relatively small area.
Then, depending on what you learned about lighting and which you chose, I would say to figure out ventilation. Keeping your plant's area cool, about 72-78 degrees, is very important. Photosynthesis dramatically slows after 90 degrees or so. Airflow as well. You do NOT want stagnant air building up around the base of the plant.
But first, you need to build your box.
