I'd like to hear something from the experts too.

Let it grow and do it's natural thing. Just because the top buds are getting more light, doesn't mean that the plant isn't distributing the stuff throughout the plant. All you are doing by cutting the tops is decreasing the surface area your plant has to absorb light.

My vote is that you leave it alone. You will be much happier. You've treated her so kind up until now, why cause such stress?

Start flushing it with water 3 weeks prior to harvest.
