It just dawned on me that if those are balls on the top of your plant, it might be full on male. I have never seen a hermie go balls out like that so quickly. The male flowers usually develop once the female flowers have set in a bit.

Just seems off to me.

Are you sure what you are seeing is pistils and not axial limbs? Axial limbs are the little green whisps that look kinda like pistils, but occur singly at the nodes. Pistils are found in pairs protruding out of a calyx.
