The only thing i couldnt do was stick em in the premo soil thats around my place. For 40 years cattle had the run of the land, then i had my house built on it. Nice dark soil! Yeah, definitely male. Are males good for smoking at all? I know you wouldn't want to keep the balls on though. You will need to spray them with water and pick them off. Try to do it delicately, you don't want them opening up and releasing pollen.

This is my last potted plant in first pic. I m pretty sure its a female. I say this only because it looks very different from the male. No balls or anything that looks like the other plant.
I think i smoked 2 males in 07.Hell i got high. The second is a bud from o7. Can any one tell, male or female or i guess hermy.


I have a few in the woods, but there small. Im using that same fert here and there. I am only using 3/4 strength. Im trying to get some branch growth and a few others some height. I have only been able to top 1 of them. Is it to late to cut in order to create more bud sites? I could grow into October.:rasta:

If the one in the first pic is a female, it should begin flowering soon as well. You should however probably be able to see preflowers, it looks like it's a couple months old right?

The second pic is a female flower. That's what you are after. I have heard of people smoking males and getting high, but they dry the leaves, not the nanners, and smoke them. I don't know if you get high, but I have heard of that being done to determine which males to breed with. I have never smoked a male, and don't really have the desire to.

As far as topping the plants in the woods, it's hard to tell. You usually would want a week or 2 minimum for your plant to recover from being topped before triggering flowering. In your case mother nature is in control, you may top them now and they start to flower next week. Who knows? Follow your gut. You say you can grow into October? That gives you about 10 weeks or so left, enough to finish an indica, and get near the end of a sativa. As long as any ladies start soon, you should get a viable product at the end of the season.

Thanks irydyum, The pic of the flower i smoked of course and wasnt bad. It however was a hermy, because it had the balls all over it and was a bitch to clean up. There were two and with little knowledge and no cash i would smoke some leaves here an there. Also, it grew through that light being turned on at night about 3-4 times a week. So from me pulling leaves and the light leak, i can know how they went hermy. But it lasted me 8 months and i got some experience out of it.

Most of my plants in the woods are not within my reach. I topped one thats about 3 1/2 feet and its starting to grow out on both sides. The growth is only small leaves but im hoping i get a branch or two off it. I was hoping it would promote growth at the lower part of the plant. I only have 3 plants with branches out there. I have eight out there, now that i cut down the male i found yesterday. I am using 15-30-15 at 3/4 strength. I had been advised not to use it because they said my weed would taste like shit, but there are no pre flowers yet and i believe i could use it to get a burst of growth before flowering. They look bigger and nice and green since iv been using it. I guess the ones with no branches will just cola up? After they begin flowering do you think i should buy some sorta blooming fert.? Something i could get at wal-mart. I have read that plants can grow 50% bigger in flower, but is that because of the nutes people feed?

I had ordered seeds from a bank which was taken by the boarder control. I ordered White Widow and Blue Berry. So, what im growing is bag seed and on top of that, its not the greatest iv smoked. But thats all i had and if i can get enough to last me, im fine with it. Next year il try a different seed bank. Iv heard that its easier to get them from Canada. Hope thats true because i lost out on big bucks!

I cant tell you how much i appreciate you helping me out here. There are some people that just dont want to share there experience. There is a friend i know that has cronic genitics and the guy will not even come off one seed. Iv known this guy for 30 years. I cant even get em to come over to check out my plants. Hell what you have shown me and the reading iv done, i will be prepared for next year.:thumbsup::rasta:

Thanks for stopin by headshake. He's not much of a friend as you can tell and as far as the seeds iv seen it happen to others. I think anything that comes from Holland is opened up on the spot.:rasta:
