My first scrog, have a few questions!

I'm preparing my first scrog grow and I have a few questions that I know the forum can help me with.

    1. How large should my screen spots be? I'm thinking about doing 4"x4" spaces but I really can't find definitive literature on sizing.

    2. How should I arrange my plants? I can't find any information on any scrog guide anywhere. Should I start with all my plants on one side of the screen and have them grow all across? Should I give them each a box of space and spiral them around from their center? I can't find anything on actual plant placement.

Thanks for the help all!!! I'll be creating a log for my first time when I take clones next week.

I use chicken wire, so the holes are like 1.5 inches across. The size of the holes kind of depends on how many tops you want I guess. I tried to fill each hole with at least one top. That way I had a lot of medium sized tops. With larger holes you could probably do the same if you used twist ties, or not train them as much and get less tops, but bigger.

I would take chicken wire and lay it out in my grow area. Then cut it into equal sized pieces, one piece for each plant. Then when you think it's time, just lay the chicken wire on top with the plant in the middle. This way, if one plant has a problem, it can easily be taken out. Flushing is easier, and you can turn them on an individual basis to promote growth on all sides of the screen.

The second link in my sig has some ideas for you. I got a lot of my inspiration from here: http://boards.cannabis.com/closet-ca...ly-ladies.html

Also, just search for scrog here on this site and through google, and you will find a few different instructions.

Looking forward to seeing your project, good luck
