New to the Forum, a quick question.

Hello everyone, a new grower here. I read all the sticky's already but I just had a quick question.

I have 3 seedlings right now that appear to be pretty healthy. ( I hope I'm saying the stages correctly ) I purposely left them on my patio during a rainfall and my soil has been very damp since the rainfall, still damp in fact. I read in my grow bible that this could suffocate my plants roots. Anyone have any recommendations on what I could do? Transplant it to a bigger pot with same dry soil maybe? Would it be worth it?

Also, you can see in the bottom picture that one of the plants received some very minor leaf damage. Is this a problem at all?

Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys!

They look good! Your right about the soil though, if you keep it to wet the plants roots won't get enough oxygen. Put a hole in the bottom of the cup for drainage, or poke pin holes all around the cup so the soil will dry out slowly, but don't let it get to dry.

I grow in hydro and haven't done soil in years so hopefully one of our great soil growers will chime in:thumbsup:

    do what pete said.

do they have adequate drainage? you have perlite mixed in which will help with drainage.

do you plan on leaving the plants outside?

the leaf damage is nothing to worry about as cannabis is a hardy plant.

    You guys are great thanks

I do plan on leaving them outside when the weather is nice but I've certainly learned my lesson with storms.

i wouldn't recommend taking them out and then bringging them back in. your indoor grow room is a controlled environment while the outdoors is obviously not.

so you are inviting in bugs and more if you do this.

also, make sure the drain holes remain open, sometimes the dirt compacts around the holes, and good drainage is blocked :smokin:
