    4th atempt and failed again-seedlings

every grow i have attempted has failed around day 10. the first 3 attemps i figured out myself, heat stress, over wattering ect.

this grow was done very carefully and specific.

i used party cups with holes cut at the bottom. i left plastic wrap on them untill they touched it, i waterd them very sparingly every 2nd day (checkinng the soil for moisture one inch down)

with this grow it is posible that i did not have enough drainage on the cups,

i think this because when i transplanted them into 2 liter cut bottles the roots were all at the bottom and the soil was slightly damp, i dont think it was so wet that it would cause root dampage though, i am not sure.

i transplanted them last night, on the sick ones i placed back on the 2 liters top to maintain higher humidity. on the healthy ones i did not.

this morning i come to my plants and the healthy ones are startingn to either turn yellow and curl under, or dry out and curl up. what the heck am i doing wrong!!!!!!!!

Looks like fert burn to me, my guess is from the pre-fertilized soil, but I'd let a soil grower confirm that before you take my word on it.

so you put them into soil that already had nutes and then fed them some more?

    what is your pH?

also, you need to keep your soild to within an inch of the top of your container as air can stagnate down around your stem.

my ph is about 6.5 i use a ph test kit. i use bottled water with a hole drilled into the top for watering.

the cups are no longer being used and i do have the soil with in an inch of the top of the container on the 2 liter bottles.

i did not feed them more nutes other then the very small amount of superthrive i used to hydrate the soil prior to planting seeds. it was 1/4 the recomended dose. i have not used ferts since then.

i believe i will be going out and buying some peat moss perlite soil today, i have seeds i just started soaking today. and i have hesi starter kit for soil that should arive today.

its specialy formulated to be low dose and work perfectly with this type of plant. it has a chart for mixing by weekly basis for seeds and clones.

What I did to my grow is to buy Miracle Grow Seedling/potting soil. No Nutes yet. Bottle water works fine, but the leaves look like nute burn. Try to just let the seedlings grow on their own.

i heard mirical grow has problems with nute burn. i read the backs of all the soils i had to choose from and i found this one to be the lowest thats why i bought it.

since i re-potted i believe the roots wont be having an issue, that is if they survive. but idk, it very well might be the soil causing the problems.

what does any one else think?

i use miracle grow soil and don't have any problems. depending on the strain this could vary.

are you keeping the lights within 1-4"?

fill out the troubleshooting form (in my sig) and you might get more responses.

if i keep the lights 1 inch my temps go up. so i keep them 3 inches to 4 inches. i dont think the lights would cause this issue.

i went to home depo and read the backs of almost every miracle grow there and my soil has LESS then any of them there. n is the same but p k is lower then all of them.

iplan on using hesi starter kit for soil. a complete nute plan with charts on weekly basis, i dont think anything with nutes in it will be good for my grow at this point. i am so confused

i have spent over 400$ on EVERYTHING i have bought including nutes, cloner, panda plastic, fans, lights, light fixtures, pots, soil.

btw. the lil form ya'll made is really confusing with all the letters, i dont get it.
