welcome to cann.com.
you can't really have too much light. the more the better (unless we are talking fresh cut clones). you want a minimum of 5000 lumens per sq ft.
they will grow, although a lack of light might cause problems. are you using CFLs or fluorescent tubes?
either way keep the lights within 1-4" for best results. you might want to back the lights off of the mazar with the root damage.

We have two plants that have already popped out of the soil. One is strawberry cough (for my anxiety) and the other is a mazar - afghan mix that came free with any purchase of seeds. So far, so good.
