Does today's weed have too much THC?

think about it. In the 1970's pot had a tenth what it has today and THC isn't what makes for an enjoyable high, it's the cannabanoids. I know, 6 of one, half a dozen of the other, right? No. Pure THC will get you fucked up whereas a good combination of THC and cannabanoids will get you nice and pasted.

The more THC, the more fucked up will you get and not in a good way.

So what say you?

i think this argument is bogus and is only used by anti-marijuana advocates

it may be true that todays pot contains more THC but look at the advances in growing technology

people werent growing in their own homes using aeroponic or hydroponic setups, most smokers were stuck with terrible, outdoor, commercial buds. buds like this still exist today, but 99.9% of smokers i know prefer quality

dont blame the pot blame the growers unless you can prove to me that the shwag you can go and buy for $60 an ounce is 50x better than the shwag of 1964. its the SAME STUFF

I just saw this thing on BBS America where this chick was injected with THC and cannabanoids and THC one day and she was giggling uncontrollably and the next day she was injected with pure THC and she was showing symptoms of psychosis.

Sometimes the propaganda is right as much as I hate to admit it. I mean this documentary didn't seem to have any agenda other than to say it can be safe, don't drive stoned and other such stuff.

Not sure I can agree with you on these statements DarthStoney.

Not sure where you got your smoke in the 70's, but I was living in Laos then Thailand from abt '71 thru '74. They had really good stuff there and they seem to have been growing it there for a very long time.
In the 60's I lived for awhile in Alaska, just north of Fairbanks. Had a friend who had been growing Thunderfuck for years there, pretty good stuff.
During a period in the 50's I lived in Central America in the canal zone (The Land divided-The World united). "Panama Red" existed then, I think you probably heard of it, it was pretty good stuff.
In the 40's I was sent to live on my aunt and uncles' farm in SouthCarolina, growing tobacco and hemp. The hemp was shitty, give you a headache. But I learned from the hispanic workers how to cultivate sensimilla in the hedge rows between fields, and it was very potent, just like today.

See, there has always been good shit, mids and shwag....probably for thousands of years.

As to "the more THC the more fucked up and not in a good way".....
hashish runs from 17-40% THC and the last time I was in Nepal (1985) the temple bell hash would absolutely fuck you up, and in a GOOD way.

Grew up in SC and worked on a tobacco farm one summer. That was enough for me, thanks.

I can testify to the 70's weed, can we say halleluiah! I forever search for the same bright red, sticky, shredded stuff I got once in 1975. I think the pictures from Dutch's vintage High Times is probably the closest I'll get.
