paper towel method does work, some have great success with it, others are totally against it.

I think the trick to paper towel method is to be extremely gentle when moving them to the grow medium, the tap root is very fragile at that step and you need to avoid touching it at all costs.

personally i used paper towel method and had 100% germ with 5 seeds so it worked for me... but i know there are some that don;t like it.

as for your other questions... i suggest you read a lot on the various forums here... sex determination is pretty basic so if you don;t know how to tell the difference you obviously haven;t read alot... which don;t get me wrong, i;m not slamming you for that - but there are a lot more things that you will need to know before you need to worry about sex determination... you'll need the knowledge to keep them alive for at least 30 or so days before you even need to worry about that.

do not germ your seeds until you have read so much that your eyes are begining to bleed, and then read some more.

theres lots of good info in the "Grow FAQ" "Baisc Growing" sections... and if you are doing indoor growing read the stuff in "Indoor Growing" and "Indoor Lighting" if you are doing outdoor, read the "Outdoor Growing" section... and i can;t recomend keeping up with the "Plant Problems" section enough... there are some real genius growers that read that section and offer exceptional advice to people having problems... and by observing other peoples problems it will help you identify some of your own that you might otherwise just think is normal when its not.

good luck!
