small 5 plant set up... need help

im going 2 start with a small 5 plant set up only because in my opinion im either doing 5 or 20 because where i live 6-20 plants is felony so ya...

only thing i really need help with his how much light do i need...

im going 2 set it up in my basement and its pretty cold down there even in the summer so not 2 worried about heat issues and what not.....

i could just hang the light in my basement and let it grow in the open but for 2 resons im going 2 go with a grow room

    1. closer walls=more light reflected and less area 2 light
    2. just in case someone goes down their less of a chance anyone will c

i want to go with HPS lights and was thinking of getting 1 600w for the 5 plants and or some t5's(or are the t8's t10's better?) but how many t5's would i need(cant figure it out for some reason?)

my room will be probely 8-9ft tall and about 3-4ft wide 2-3feet deep
and im just going 2 build a wood rectangle basically with doors on the front

sry for the long post just wanted 2 get all the info in there

400w hps might be enough, could always add some cfl's on the sides. 600w would make for some nice buds. You will need ventilation no matter what... bigger lamp = more ventilation. Cooltubes are really nice too.

Have you measured the High and Low temps in the area yet?

Hey if your looking for a log for a cabinet that is 4x4 check my sig at btm of this post. I am using a homemade box that is 4'lx4'hx30''d and can run up to six plants depending on strain/veg time/scrog/sog I really am digging the box style growing, just remember to have fun :stoned:
