Yes, you can still use it, but it's probably a better idea to return it for potting soil.
Garden soil usually gets more compacted than potting soil, causing worse drainage and aeration. It increases the risk for over watering the roots.
If you are still going to use the garden soil, at least get some perlite and mix in a generous amount. Try to aim for 20% perlite.
To be honest, perlite should be added to potting soil too, in case you go that route.
