    mircal grow organic garden soil?

So I today I picked up some more soil for transplanting and starting the flower cycle. Now I got Mircal Grow Organic Garden soil and on the back it says NOT FOR CONTAINERS so can I still use it?

Yes, you can still use it, but it's probably a better idea to return it for potting soil.

Garden soil usually gets more compacted than potting soil, causing worse drainage and aeration. It increases the risk for over watering the roots.

If you are still going to use the garden soil, at least get some perlite and mix in a generous amount. Try to aim for 20% perlite.

To be honest, perlite should be added to potting soil too, in case you go that route.

Honestly my friend I used Miracle Grow Organic Choice and my plants are 14' tall after just 8 weeks of growth outdoors. It is by far the best soil I have used in any outdoor grow. I also live in a climate that supports heavy plant growth. Use what you bought you will love it and so will your plants. Fox Farm is a rip off same shit as other soils just a fancy bag and a bold price tag.

No need to trust the Hydro Guy, but no need to tell 'em anything, either. They seem to be a necessary evil for some folks, because they have the stuff us gardeners need. (unless you have a credit card and could trust purchases online)

I'd try to find some quality nutrients like the Fox Farms trio or Botanicare, or General Hydroponics. (they also sell nutes for soil grows)

As far as potting soils, MG is ok, but MG Organic is too heavy in pots. If you can, exchange it for something you can use in the containers without having to ammend.
The Fox Farms might be expensive, but it is ready to go and it works well with newbies. Almost any potting soil works, but those without time release nutes added are easiest to work with. Compost is not potting soil.

Would love to see the 14 foot plants. If you want to toot your newbie horn, best to include pictures. Not that I totally doubt your claims, but it sounds a lot like bullshit to me. :wtf:
Also...you mention the 14 footers. What size pots are they in, or are you mixing apples and oranges with your reaponse/claim?

Plus, The more I read into your response, the less I respect it
You are telling him to just go ahead and use the stuff...? What should he ammend it with to make it compatible with container farming...? What problems might he face with using the stuff? How long do the nutrients last? When should he start the nutrient regimine? When does the ph crash?

What problems did you have with the Fox Farms, and why were you using a container mix in-ground, and which FF soil did you use? How was the texture of it? Did you need extra perlite or vermiculite? Does it buffer ph, or do you need to adjust?

If you are going to post what looks like bullshit, doubtful you should be offering help to any newbies.

potting soil for pots and garden soil for outdoor, but the mg organic does work fine better then the normal mg.

as for fox farms ocean forest it works great for a month then you need to go buy the fox farms nutes or fuck up a few plants trying to figure out to make another companies ferts copmliment it. (different micro apps and all).

i dont recoomend garden soil for container plants but it wrks when its all i have but i keep a bag perlite just i case.
