I have this lamp from when I had a lizard, would this be any use for seedlings? Wouldn't imagine it would be good for anything larger than a couple of inches but if useful might save me a few £ in future

yup, if its like the blueish color, I've vegged clones on those bulbs for I don't even know how many times. Definitely works, just gotta keep it close.

it wouldn't be recommended as the uv it puts out will more than likely damage your plants. there is a huge debate going on with uv (uvb especially).

thanks guys, realised i wont need it tho, just opened up a 250w sodium that i got from ebay to remove the ballast. i was planning to hook it up to a better reflector and realised it was a digital one. so i can just jam a halide in there:thumbsup:
