3 1/2 weeks into flower and probs start...
Twasn't you that was put on ignore, FourTwenty4Life...but I'll be damned if I'm going to keep getting infractions and being banned because some twit get's offended. Ignore is a self-preservation technique I plan on using more often, albeit only under extreme conditions. Often enough I've shared words with someone, and have no problem offering them future guidance. Holding a grudge carries no weight here.
Other than the mods, (and not even sure about them) none of the members here get paid a dime. So if you want help, you damn well better be prepared to provide (without getting all prissy) the required info to help us help you, instead of creating more work for us. Anything short of a complete rundown of you equipment, your techniques and your indicated problems...is a risk. Not to my garden, but to the person asking for help. (and a complete waste of time, too)
If someone wants to bitch about the level or quality of help you get, fine, I understand some folks inability to take advise or criticism, and I cary no PhD in plant biology. But your emotions are not my responsibility. Along those same lines, if you chose to let personalities get in the way of learning how the fuck to bring your meds to harvest, then again...it's you and your meds that take the hit. Either way, you have a decision to make. Be offended that I didn't give bertoxxulous a reach-around, or see the parts of this situation that bertoxxulous brought upon himself. His original post, and his subsequent response to my calling his method of requesting assistance as lazy, (which it was) being an example. As FakeBoobsRule told me once...you reap what you sew.
If you are looking for a saint to come hold your hand and whisper sweet techniques in your ear, I'm the wrong person to help, as I obviously don't play well with other's. Never have, likely never will. Regardless, there are other's here capable of helping you along your merry way, and I'm comfortable with deferring to them, rather than risking my membership and wasting my time.
Ever notice that although I've never met any of you, I seem to have a hold on a lot of people's emotions in here? My dispassionate and often gruff presentation of gardening techniques is my personality. Period. So is it my gruff, no-nonsense approach that some members have a problem with, or is it other's inability to be open to criticism?
And bertoxxulous: Nice to see a newbie found one of the articles that's been going around here for a year or so in regards to the PVC outgassing contaminates in the growhuts. That is however, a far cry from taking advice about growing techniques and troubleshooting. Were it not for your newbie friends spreading bogus info in your growlog, perhaps you wouldn't have been here looking for help in the first place.

Well, this whole thing has gotten out of hand. I want to appologize to all you guys including Rusty (although I know he won't see this) that I should have just kept my mouth shut and done as I was told. I didn't come here to start fights or be defensive about things. I suppose it was just one of those heat of the moment things. This website has been a gem for growing info for me and I would have given up growing by now if I hadn't visted the site and started posting. There is a wealth of info that I've learned here and will continue to learn, no doubt. I would like to continue to be apart of this forum community....I know I have a long way to go to be an effective grower and that I will continue to require help from you guys so again, I sincerely appologize.

So it gets old really quick when you try to be nice and point out to someone that they are breaking the rules and not to do it again without giving them a penalty and they keep doing it anyway or their next post is to insult the mod. It gets old even faster when someone who you consider a senior member ignores the requests and warnings and continues to do whatever the hell they want to. That's exactly what us unpaid volunteers what to do all day long. So here's another saying, no good deed goes unpunished.
In case you do have Bert on ignore, you should see his post that proceeds this one and follows Flyguy's post. He shows great maturity and patience as he just apologized to you Rusty. Too bad you couldn't have been a little nicer when you told him what you thought he did was lazy and made it difficult for people to answer his question because maybe we could have avoided this latest round of Rusty bullshit. Some people do listen and don't have to be talked to like shit to understand.

Gee. See how easy it is to fly off the handle misinterpreting a post and it's intent...? At least I'm not the only one that get's frustrated and talks down to the little people. Thank you for reminding us that nobody is perfect, FBR. I was saying that none of us here get paid that I know of, but my not being a mod, I have no clue what you are or are not paid. Tell me where the fucking insult is, FBR.
If you want to run a politically correct forum that allows bullshit to be spread like wildfire, or if you prefer to coddle these kids, I'll just watch, thank you. I was under the impression that this site was specifically geared twords medical cannabis patients and their caretakers. Apparently this has changed, as the immaturity of these conversations is astounding.
Those I put on ignore are there for a reason. What...now you're going to bitch at me for using a feature provided for just this reason?

Berto: You are not doing anything wrong at all. There is no need for you to apologize to RT. RT was being condescending to you. I apologize for you being treated badly here.
NOBODY deserves being made fun of. Learning is why we are all here. We should support one another, not amuse ourselves at other's expense.
Bye bye Rusty.....

Cant we all just get along? If you have something productive to say by all means speak up, if not then please close the hole under your nose.
