Im moving out to Oregon with the intent on growing medically. I have done indoor for yrs.( have glaucoma myself) This will be mostly an outdoor venture from what I hear. People I speek to are telling me ..to raise one plant to completion will run me 1400.....I cant see ANY plant not even 60x 100 feet garden of vegetables costing 1400 bucks.
Is anyone else investing this into each plant? My indoor Never NEVER cost that much EVER. I mean seriously ..hummus is 4 bucks a bail..composting is dirt cheap..and fertilizer isnt used unless needed and that can be chicken shit..another dirt cheap comodity. So why am I being scared into thinking this venture is not condusive to my financial situation? They say indoor would be cheaper but I wouldnt get trees..Ive had trees indoors & you can sea of green indoors... Any advice would be appreciated
To me outdoors invites attention. thieves and bugs..and deer...Also to grow for other people ..I am told I have to buy their card rights? Like 5000-10,000 a card?..Why would anyone do that? I can see giving the finished product's worth because thats what Im doing this for ..but to pay for a card ontop ? ..thats not right is it?sassafrass Reviewed by sassafrass on . It wont cost you that much, to get a really nice setup it could only cost you a few grand. Then once its setup your good to grow for awhile.

Who are these idiots you talking to?
I personally do not know the yearly fees with the OMMP. I think I've heard its around $400 total, but this could be wrong.
Outdoor is always cheaper than indoor.
If you become medical in Oregon, you can have 6 Mature and 18 Immature.
6 Outdoor plants will end up being pennies on the gram to produce. All you would need is 2-3bags of soil, some basic veg and flower ferts, and some weekly watering.
The price for the card and registration isn't more than $1000 for a year I bet, but cannot confirm.

No way does it cost $1000 a year under any circumstances... even allowing for elect to grow indoors. Not even $1000 for a full six adults and the legal number of kids.
Incredibly cheaper than outlet sales in CA.

I'm from southern Oregon and I just got my card a month ago and it cost me $100 to the state for OMMP and $200 to the doctor who issued the card. $300 a year for a card is well worth it.
