Whats up NC
That would be great but we are still in the bible belt so I don't know how good of a chance we have. Plus our Bev Pudue already said in an article in the N&O that there was no way she would allow MMJ it was far to addictive :wtf:

Whats up NC
I could not vote this last election and what did we get ? Miss Bev Purdue. The female equivelent of Jesse Helms. Damn. It's time to cut the bible belt and join the newage of thinking. People are hurting here just as much as anywhere maybe more. I bet Bev did her share of tokin and showing her ta-ta's on springbreak in her day.
Hopefully it's not up to her. If we don't get it many of our politicians will get the beat down next election.
Just having it go up for a vote is a good move. I hear it is still up in the health board to decide the medical worthyness then back to commity to iron out the fine details to be voted on.
I think this should not be left in the hands of dumbfounded politicians with agenda's. They will just tack on some raises for them selves or pork for thier friends.
This should be a vote of the people for the people and by the people. It's the only fair way.

Whats up NC
Bible Belt or not I think this has a decent chance of passing if people contact their legislators and demand that they support the bills. Who ever would have thought that NC would turn blue and elect a democrat President...let alone an African-American Democrat? I think enough of us Progressive Yankees have moved to NC to change the electorate for the better. Also, the Gov.'s veto can be over turned if it should come to that. The tobacco industry is starting to lose its' influence in NC...just look at the recent law enacted to ban smoking in restaurants and bars. Who would have thought that would have happened in the U.S.'s largest tobacco producing state?
Let's get this done NC!!!
Pete
