Weed Party

So I was thinking to myself today...what would a party that was completely dedicated to the smoking/consumption of cannabis be like? Instead of having a basement full of a hundred-some drunk ass college students; a party that had little to no alcohol involved...just lots and lots of weed. I'm not talking about your usual 3-10 friends chilling in your room smoking a blunt. Always a fan of this, of course, but why not something a little more party-oriented.

I guess you couldn't even call it a party, really. I've never really considered weed a 'party' drug. Sure I'll smoke a bowl or two at a party, but I don't really like being stoned off my ass around crowds of drunk people. You're on two different levels, two different frames of mind. Just like when I'm piss drunk, I'm not inclined to have a deep conversation with a couple of stoned kids in the upstairs bedroom. I'm there to party, socialize, and get tanked. I don't party too often. I'll go to one, maybe two a month. I'd much rather smoke a bowl with some close friends. It's just the way I, and I'm sure many of you, are.

Anyone ever thrown a 'weed party' like the caliber I'm imaging? 50-100 people, little to no alcohol, huge amounts of weed. What was it like? I wouldn't mind throwing one myself, actually. I just can't picture it going down like I'd want it to. Within minutes there would be some douche bag spilling Jack Daniels on my carpet and stumbling around knocking my shit over. Who knows...maybe it can be done. Just a thought--I'm just high as shit right now. :stoned:

Had something like that in my garage once, had something to celebrate, there must have been thirty or so all lighting up something. Certainly wasn't a rager, we all just chatted really until everyone got real hungry an hour later, then we all left in mass for food. The end

Years ago, we used to have block parties.... fire up the grill, and everybody brought something to throw on the grill, and a bit of the best smoke they had. It was a great time.

I hate being around really drunk people when I'm really baked. Alcohol turns you into a strange and way too loud version of yourself.

This is exactly what i did. I was tired of throwing parties for a bunch of stupid drunks, so me and my buddies had a straight weed party. We had grav bongs set up and people from all over town showed. There were a few people who smoked for their first time that night and all 60 people would cheer. I knew it was successful when someone would ask where the alcohol was and everyone would just look at them like they were out of their minds. Good thinking, the party was a huge hit.

I live in Jamaica and about a year ago me and my friends threw an all inclusive weed party called "Blazefest". We had an all-you-can-smoke buffay, complematry blunt wraps and rolling papers, gravity bong, weed brownies, and a weed waffle station. We had ounces and ounces of the best herb in Jamaica and charged $1000JA (about $10USD) per head and made just about enough to make up for all the money spent on weed.

All in all it was a pretty sucessful night even though half the people went home to pass out by midnight:jointsmile:

Well actually I had a 420 party. I invited 45 people and I bought a quarter pound of purple haze, my friend grows so I got it for 400 dollars up here in Canada! It was really weird of an experience, we just pumped nice tunes and had a table full of food. It was one of the best parties.
