looks good, but you will know if its a success in a week or so. Some plants do not like fimming, I have found this with sativa dom strains.

You get a feel for it over time, the worst that will happen is nothing. Your cuts look good!

I tried "Fim" a long time ago when I first got into growing,I decided that "topping" was way more effective.Maybe try some of each and see what you think.

That's what I was aiming for, just wasn't sure if I should include the bit of stem before the fluffy bit of leafy growth, or if I even got it at the right point at all. The diagram floating around only shows a top view after the cut, so I wasn't too sure.

I just don't see how fimming will produce more branches. But I guess in time (hopefully) I'll figure it out

Well I find that topping allow's the plant to recover faster than fim=more plant sooner. And when done correctly topping will produce as many (if not more) branch's than fim will.I top most of my plant's and will be showing off different techniques over the next few month's in my log,so your welcome to have a look. The point is..try topping and fim,and LST,and a combination of several, you'll find what you like best.
