    cloning machine question

I made my own cloning machine out of a 5 gallon bucket. I used pvc pipe and have 4 misters coming off the pvc pipe which is connected to a submersable pump. It sprays a fine mist up to the top of the bucket. My question is how long do I mist for? My hydro dealer told me 1 minute on 4 minutes off. Where do i find such a timer? He told me his timer is $80 I feel that is way too much. Please help!!!

    cloning machine question

I have timers but not ones that do 1 minute on 4 minutes off. 15 minutes are the only increments allowed

you mine as well build a bubble cloner and save yourself some money as well as have more cloning spots!

you can probably pull one together for $20-30. with a timer.

your hydro man is not your friend. whether you go 1 min on 4 min off OR go 4 min on and 0 min off won't make a difference. meaning you don't need a timer.

i recommend using a heat pad under your tub if you feel your reservoir is not warm. you'll notice a significant difference in the amount of time it takes to root with warm water as opposed to cool/cold water. additionally, if your reservoir is warm, the humidity will be higher as well, and you will be able to get away with a 1 hour on, 14 min off cycle, which means u can use a timer from home depot for $10.

i run my pin sprayers 24 hours and it works excellently.

If you do end up needing a timer that can be set to lower than 15 min then get a digital timer, they can be set down to the min but can only be programed for so many times in a day.

    cloning machine question

thanks macnasty I see no harm in running my misters untimed. So I shall be successful with misters on 24hrs?

I agree with mcnasty. In fact I wouldn't even worry about the temp of the water being too cold. The motor of thesubmersible pump you have down there will give off enough heat to make the water just right temp wise.
