What makes you think your anecdote is helpful?

Anybody can fabricate a story out of whole cloth in an effort to validate the so-called "efficacy" of Goldenseal.

As I said earlier, anecdotes like yours can quickly land an uninformed person in the unemployment line, or worse, jail.
If you dont like the fact that the we hold the poster to a high standard of fact, well thats too bad. Thats how it is here and shall remain. And if this idea is not your cup of tea, then perhaps the drug testing forum is not for you. The drug testing forum is not a playground - not when careers and freedoms are at stake.

Call it what you will. Critical? Judgemental? You bet!! When people come here and make claims that goldenseal, magic potions, etc are the reason why they pass drug tests, I am very inclined to squawk about it. I call it being allergic to irresponsibility. Coming on here and claiming that goldenseal passes drug tests is downright irresponsible.

And yes I read the OP. IMO, threads like this should not exist in the drug testing forum, because they lend themselves to stories that potentially cause harm to others (who have jobs and freedoms on the line) seeking info on passing drug tests. Your touting of goldenseal is a prime example.

I did a little research and it looks like Goldenseal possibly was effective against an old test that isn't used anymore... a TLC test. Kinda sounds a little bit like the aspirin and the EMIT test.

Goldenseal is a plant and you can get either the root or the leaves in pill form. It's also a liquid or tea. The liquid is rumored to absorb slower than the capsules. Goldenseal is a diuretic, but works no better than other diuretics. Furthermore, NORML reports that Goldenseal is now being tested for. Taking Goldenseal is a foolish waste. Goldenseal has shown to work on occasion. However, some labs are reportedly testing for Goldenseal. Goldenseal is very unreliable, and California NORML advises against using it. Goldenseal (as a screen) only works on the TLC test, which is not used anymore.

Anyway, Bozo was just telling us HIS story, and I truly think he believes that it helped (maybe he had an old test?) He is not a first poster in this forum and probably knows lots more about growing than we do. He has good reputation here and we should show him some respect. Although I wonder what he'd do if I posted some outdated information in the growing section of this forum??

thanks for the vote of confidence suzieque and i appreciate that you didn't
just spew criticisms but rather presented evidence of a sort.

in any event, you make two very valid points, first that i only told my story,
which is what the original poster was asking for.

the second valid point is that the tests are different now than they were.
the fact is it was several years ago when i took those tests and used the
Golden Seal so maybe that's why it worked for me.

i also made it clear that you should do some home testing before you trust
whatever method you decide to use.

btw, you are right that my focus is on growing weed and not on finding ways
to beat drug tests. frankly, i normally don't involve myself in these sorts of
threads and only chose to respond to this one because the original poster
was asking for personal success story's and i felt my story would be appropriate.
