Visiting from california
Howdy all, im a cannabis patient from california and im going to be here for the next three or four months. I wasn't able to take any medicine from california due to various transportation laws and the fact im not sure if my recomindation would stand here.
I was wondering if i would be able to recieve cannabis in this state with my recomindation issued in california. with this cold damp weather its driving my back crazy and it would be helpful to get something to help me.

Reciprocity is not a part of Maine's laws (I think Montana is the only one that recognizes other state's recs). This is a HUGE oversight on the part of the MMJ states! As single states we have little power- as 1/4 of the US states in a group, we would have a LOT of clout.
WHY HAVEN'T WE JOINED TOGETHER?

We have gone some distance in reform of current laws but we need to go further. As i see it a doctor in california is just as capable as a doctor in maine so their recomindation should be the same if the state has already said that they allow the use of medical marijuana. the only difference i can see is that the state of califorina has already collected the tax money from my primary doctor where as the other states haven't seen a dime from that directly.

keep it legal and keep it within reason, dont allow taxes to drive this necessity to make it unafordable to people who need it. this is why a non-profit orgiization is required to dispense the medication.
rant over.
