The top 5-6 inches of my plant got pulled off.

This is my first plant and my mums helping me grow it as shes done it previously.

When i woke up this morning the top 5-6 inches of my plant was leaning down to one side so my mum came up and pulled the whole of it off.
Will it kill it or prevent it from budding?

    She's so pretty

All that will happen is that the two top side shoots will grow out and produce 2 (slightly smaller) main buds, instead of one! Your Mom did no more damage than a herbivore grabbing a snack. Remember, it's a weed!

Why was she drooping like that, is the question? Lack of water?

I agree, it will recover just give it time.

No worries man, same kinda thing happened on my first grow. I was experimenting with low stress training and accidentally tied a piece of thread to tightly around the stem and when I woke up the top 3 nodes of the plant had been cut off.

If anything I'd say it helped my grow. The 4 remaining biggest branches all turned into stems themselves and it grew into a giant bush, and was almost double the size of the other plant I had by the end of the grow.

Its a minor set back, nothing more. imp:
