How exactly do you flush a plant and when are the best times. Im worried that it will get over watered.

Just run water through it, then let all the run off come to a nil, if your container, dosen't have a bottom you can remove, then I suggest using a lighter formula. Unless, your experienced with intake levels for feeding your plant.

You sure about this statement? And are you sure that only those with improper techniques require a flush?

For starters, you don't flush the plant, you flush the soil. This helps release salt and nutrient build-up that you get with virtually all commercial nutrient solutions.

Healthy plants stay healthy when you know what you are doing and why you are doing it. Wanting to flush a pot is not a social commentary on a gardeners inability to find a balance, but it is a step that is necessary as a result of the ingredients in the nutrients building-up in your soil over time.

Perhaps one should know what they are talking about, before attempting to slam another's technique or skill level. :wtf:

Wait till the ladies need watering. Flush with two to three times the volume of the pot, with clean, properly ph'd water, then let the soil dry before watering again. Skip a nutrient day if necessary.

I use the Fox Farms line of nutes which is notorious for salt build-up...but is the best nutrient regimin I've found for cannabis. Once a month I flush, then in the last half-gallon per pot, I add some Soil Syrup at recommended dilution.

You may know this nick, but it is also necessary to perform flushings in the last 1-2 weeks of flowering to maximize taste/smoothness of the bud. Flushing the last couple weeks will help rid the soil of nutes; these chemicals, otherwise, would accumulate in your precious buds. This results in a "harsh" smoke.

Like R_T said, pH regulation of the water being used for flushing is crucial.
