my two plants are now growing but one is alot taller then the other, they are both getting two sets of leaves, and starting to get a smell, but for now im leaving them by the window, but next week ill be buying a heat lamp from home depot, its called like aquarium & indoor growing light, is that good? im getting a 28 inch too, but is it cool that they sit by the light for now? thanks peace

As long as they get at least 18 hours of light out of 24 hours they will be fine.

Do not use a heat lamp....If you need to buy a cheep light from HD get the security light made by "Lights of America" it cost about 40-45 bucks and will work it is a flourex bulb they make. Gives plenty of light (if you like florescent light) for just a few plants with out putting out lots of heat. You should get the light about 6" above the top of your plants. You should consider MH for vegetation and HPS for flower cycle they will increase your yield over fluorescents.
