$200 per ounce tax???????

A thought. I have seen the proposed tax of $50 an ounce. would if they sold the ounce for $100 and taxed it $200- total $300 still a great deal!!!!
I think if they figured the monitary gain with those figures, they may be a little qiucker at legalizing it. What do you all think?:stoned::stoned:

Write to Arnold! I think it's a great idea!
It's still cheaper than it is now. And it would deter drug dealers from buying it in CA and selling it elsewhere since there's not much profit.

the problem with taxing the shit out of it is that there will still be plenty of people to create a black market to avoid the taxation. a moderate tax would be easily absorbed, but a 200% tax would create more problems than it would solve. besides, do you really think that the price of an ounce would really go down that drastically once legalization hits? there might be a slight drop in price, but we have created a market where ridiculous prices are considered acceptable and i'm sure there would be no rush to change that profit margin.

actually yes, legalizing pot will drive prices down drastically, because once its legal it can be grown in fields instead of cabinets, bedrooms and boxes. But the tax shouldn't be 200, because if you tax it that high, the black market can easily offer a better price.
