CAN I USE 12/10 light cycle? i know, i know
i know there are 24 hours in a day and 12/10 is only 22 hours. but the reasoning behind this is i was wondering if i can slowly ween it to have it's light and dark periods kind of switched over. if i did 12 hours off and 10 hours on then maybe 12/12 for a couple days, then 12/10 again until i get the light schedule to where i want it. thanks

do you mean you want to reverse the cycle it's on now? make day night and night day? Im wondering if you can just straight up change it without easing it into its new cycle. maybe someones done that before and will reply. But I think every plant has it's own characteristics and may respond differently. Good luck.

yes, i would like it to be all at the opposite times. but i was wonderng about the chemicals the plant has where it knows it is in flowering because of the 12/12 light cycle and i thought maybe it know when the night time is and if i switch it around to when the night time is day time, they it may be confused and think it wants to go into veg state for a couple days until i know where it's new steady night cycle is....

i have heard of manipulating the day/night cycle to 12 off/ 10 on, to hasten the harvest, but the less hrs of daylight you buds recieve the less your buds will grow, so you speed up the finish at the expence of yield.
just a thought....what if you changed the cycle to 12 off/ 14 on? i believe the only internal timer the plant has responds to the night cycle, so theoretically you may be able to get a larger yield by giving the plant more time to grow with out affecting the flowering process.Dylan
