I have never grown before but ordered and have just received 5 feminized auto flowering seeds. So...now it's time to get to work.

To start things off,, i plan on starting the plants inside in Styrofoam cups (good idea?) under a few CFLs for around 2 weeks and then transplanting them outside into 2 gallon pots (will this be big enough?).

For my soil mix i plan on using 1/3 of perlite with 2/3 of bagged topsoil. I want to use this mix from seed to bud (hopefully). Does this sound ok? Also, if i use this soil mix, what type of nutrients should i add to it? I am willing to go organic or chemical.

Anyway, i have a fairly sunny spot by a river in North Carolina and when i move the plants to their pots here i will have a 50 gallon drip system set up so the plants won't dry out. i was thinking about adding nutrients to the drip system if necessary but am not sure what i would add.

Does this all sound good? I feel like i have done enough research about how to grow the good ol stuff, i am just struggling on figuring out a good soil mix and what type of nutrients to use and when to use it.
