Crystals and odor

Buds are into thier 6th week and looking good. 4 foot plant with about 1 foot filling nicely. No crystals yet and no odor. Seeds from decent commercial. Looks like sativa. When will it get crystals, resin and odor? Or is there a chance it will look better than it is?

If not, just hang in there. The flowers will come, the sugars will metabolize and nature will take its course.

Some sativa's can take 12 weeks to finish. Depending on the environmental conditions @ 6 weeks it should have some thrichomes.

First grow in about 10 years. Will commercial seeds produce good stuff or should I shop for high quality seeds? Or do I need to be more patient and wait for results. Time is money and I don't want to waste either. Plus I don't want the utility company to burn any more coal than they have to.
