Jake's Bunches O' Beans Grow Log

things are really coming along nicely jake!

as far as the nutes, you should be able to pick up some cheap worm castings or bat guano, probably even at lowes or the depot that will make some good tea for your ladies. just a thought.

do you get all of your strains confused? i mean, i have 2 dogs, 3 cats and many other animals. so i'll call em the wrong name etc! lol.

Jake, They are looking pretty good, better then mine which are stretching like crazy as if I can get them closer to the sun. It will be interesting to see the differences in size between your container plants and in ground. What's your soil like? Ours suck.

    Looking good Jake.

We just moved a male Blue Apollo outdoors. He'll stay in his hempy bucket though. Temps here will get back up to normal (107 F) in a few days. Don't know how he'll handle the heat.

Hot Dang! It's always a pleasure to read your smiling words, my friend! It's funny you mention being able to keep everything separate. It's easy for me to keep my strains separate, but I don't know how in the heck some folks are able to do so - some have WAY more than I do. I'm envious I can't grow as many plants as some folks, but we all have our constraints. I am happy I'm able to grow some to keep myself in plenty o' bud. And, of course friends never leave mi casa without some free bud - unfortunately I can't tell anyone from where it came.

Sorry to ramble, but it's getting late; and, I've had a few.... I hope all's well with you and yours! You've always got some seriously good vibes - I hope they find their way back to you 2 fold.

luna, it's always a pleasure to read your words. I've seen some of your pics - there's no way my plants look better than yours. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. That SourBubble of yours that did not auto = incredible! Soil here is not the best, but with a little help it gets by. The big difference in my plants is sunshine. Some of the in-grounders have much better sun, and they're getting to be pretty dang bushy - you'll see some pics in a bit. And, I'm rehabilitating a few of the stragglers; notice the NL which recovered nicely in container until recently making it back to a better in-ground spot. Dang, I can ramble like a sumgun after a few.... I can't wait to catch up with your ladies. My best to you and yours!

McDanger! It's been awhile, and I hope everything's been good out your way. I'm gonna have to catch up with what you've got goin' on. I completely understand the comings and goings - sometimes it's tough to find time for perusing this incredible board. Be good out there, my friend!

McT, I'll definitely have to check in to see how that BA is handling the outdoor hempy with some insane heat! That sounds like it should be an episode on the weed channel. Tune in next week when you'll find out if Mc'T's Blue Apollo male beat down the 107 degree heat. There's no doubt your indoor ladies are doing awesome. I know all of you have been doing good since you got your home to yourselves.

killa12345! It'll be like I had McT's BA outdoor adventure on Tivo what with my extended absence. I'm goin' there from here before I update so I can see what I hope to be a happy beginning for the BA outdoors! Thanks to you I'm trying some of those free samples (only pay shipping). Flippin' awesome tip from you, my friend! ROCK! I'm looking forward to seeing what they'll do.

Thanks for the well wishes too - we all have some ups and downs, which is fine as long as we only remember the ups. Sometimes when money gets tighter, families become closer which is a sweet silver lining. Killa, you're a good dude - it's always good to catch up with you. I hope all's well with y'all.

Alrighty then... this is going to take some serious concentration. The Old School, Colombian Red Haze, and Bubblelicious are the remaining 1st Batchers. They're on Day 87 of Veg; they're big but not that big since they don't get that much direct sunlight.

They've been getting some Schultz 10-15-10 with Superthrive and recently some 5-1-1 fish emulsion, so they're getting some pretty good Nitrogen. I'm going to lay off the Schultz and feed the lower N as the CRH and the BBL have not really shown sex - they're still just popping new leaf sets rather than any sex parts. The OS showed female within the past week or so.

Enough with the rambling on on to the pictures:

    Pic 1 shows the OS
Pic 2 is an apical of the OS on the right with rehabilitated 2nd Batch NL left
Pic 3 shows side by side of the OS and NL
Pics 4 & 5 show the CRH really stretching for the Sun

Next up will be the Sour Cream and Lemon Skunk - I ran out of disc space before I could get to the SSH which is finally starting to grow - another bad location.

Yeah, I almost forgot about the Bubblelicious. It would be a beast if it had not been ravaged by a/some caterpillars. The back branches are pretty dang bare - nodes are tightening.

Pics 1-4 show the BBL is various sweltering poses
Pic 5 shows 1 of the possible culprits of BBL's involuntary thinness - that dang caterpillar was locked on to that tomato plant even after having munched about 1/2 of it down.

The Sour Cream is thriving under they're veritable babying. They've been my primary focus since I'm salivating for the Sour Diesel x G13 Haze buds - neither have showed but are starting to throw some seriously tight nodes readying themselves for some serious action 1 way or the other.

Pics 1-5 are focused on the left and right SC; level shots, apical shots, macro shots, and side by side view. They needed some extra photos.

Last but not least will be the NL and LS.
