Do the rest of the world see us Australians as

Immigration..OK mea culpa on that one... I mean I'm married to an immigrant and descended from immigrants yes...but its alarming that entire communites all over the world are leaving their towns abandoning them for hope of a better life in the next big city that MAY get them to America.....

Mobility is a basic human right and a basic human need. Immigration has existed as long as humans have, because if a person thinks he will lead a better life in another part of the world, he will go there.

It's so easy to say 'stay in your own damn country' but that resolves nothing. If you were working for 1$ a day and you knew that by going to another country you could earn $6 an hour, Wouldn't you do it too?
