Stumped!
Well now, I must look like an idiot. I was searching for info on what I posted above and tripped over this post. Sorry bout that stinky, I didnt realize you had replied and dont want anyone to think that I was wasting your all time. Anyway here it is 2 months later and I am still fighting this same problem. My BB plants both look leathery or dried out leafs with brown spots and brown leaf edges. I am completly at a loss of what is going on. I am strict with my ph (meter) and keep it at as close to 5.8 run off as possible so it is never below 5.7 or over 5.9 and to date havent went over 999 PPM with the fertz. The above grow has since been chopped and was weight wise, well sad to say was poor. On to this grow.
I started with fresh baled coco and flushed it until the run off PPM was:
-less than 90
-PH @ 5.8
Out of desperation I switched from Dutch Masters gold to H&G cocos A + B
All of my plants besides one (which looks perfect) show signs just like the
above pictures but not that bad (yet).
I am at a total loss. It would be easier for me to grow bud from a rock. lol
I just dont understand how my plants can be doing so poorly when I keep the PH dead on and am using quality hydo nutes in coco thats drains excellent. I had to laugh somewhat the other day when one of my OMMP paients dropped of 2 lemon kush plants about 3 weeks old. I asked him what they were in and he said dirt from the backyard. What fertz? Miracle grow from under the back of the sink, 7 years old. Go figure. I have thousands invested and spend 2 hrs a day. He walks in with 2 plants in dirt, thirsty, rootbound with shit fertz and they look better than anything I have growing. Fu....!
These plants, from seed were in beer cups, maybe 9" tall. I transplanted them into 1/2 gallon pots with the same treated coco I have been using. The plants look perfect and are growing at a very fast pace. 10 days later I checked the roots and was shocked to see the bottom of the coco completly solid white with roots. I transplanted into 2 gallon pots. Someone tell me WTF. Why are the 2 plants from seed doing so well and all but one of my clones (5th week) flowering look like shit. Same soil, room, temps, PH, R.H., fertz, bla, bla, bla.
I have come to the conclusion that there is something fundamentally wrong going on here. I will get some fresh pics up tomorrow.
