The lamp in the photo has a bi-pin base. Is that how the 10W is? Or is it a standard "Edison" screw-in household-lightbulb-type base?

Do you have access to a spec sheet on it? Would be helpful to know the approximated color temp (use it for veg, or flower?) and/or if it was designed for a reading light, say, or general household illumination.

"White" leds are just blue leds with a filter coating to make them appear white to our eyes. The coating makes the led less efficient. So your light isn't going to hurt anything :thumbsupunless you've already got heat problems) but would be less effective than an equal amount of watts-burned in a red/blue system.

It is VERY bright similiar to HID type lighting, looks like the sun when you look into it! Very heavy bulb too, weighs about a pound! Will this help my grow at all, or just a waste or space? Rating: 5
