Harvesting Questions
My plant is pretty close to harvest, I got a few questions.
1...Is it true to harvest when 80% the hairs are red, As I do not have a magnifine glass to look at the crystals.
2...Does it make the buds fatter if you leave them in complete darkness for 3 days straight before you chop it down.
3...Is it true colder temps tricks the plant in to budding faster, But slows bud growth down.
4... When I harvest do I just chop them and let them hang in complete darkness to dry, If so for how long?
5...Is it true that hanging them upside down lets all the thc from the stems leak into the bud.
6... When I do cutt them should I cutt the stems so they dry faster?
If any one can just kind of sum this up for me it would be much appreciated, As I am a newb.spiked666killer Reviewed by spiked666killer on . Harvesting Questions
I don't have many answers, but instead of a microscope, if you have a camera with any kind of zoom @ all, might get you a glimpse of your tricomes.
as for your other questions, i believe the curing buds link in my signature will answer a couple of them.

Harvesting Questions
Fluid69 you must be up early ? LOL I had to go start the work truck.
1- If you are growing a white strain then no. Most hairs will be white at harvest. Other strains maybe all red.
2- No
3- No but too cold will slow things down.
4- You want to trim the leaves off before you hang them and dark is good. sunLight or high watt lights degrades the trichomes but a light bulb in a closet won't hurt. till they fell mostly dry on the outside, then cure.
5- No
6- you can hang the whole plant or cut the braches off and hang them. In drying faster is not better. You get more green chlorifill taste. Slower is better.
Look at what fluid69 link it will help you alot.
As the great tea master says, Good tea is grown in the fields and great tea is in the cureing.

Harvesting Questions
Thanks fluid69.
zandor, now that's a name I have not seen in a long time here. I have a friend I need to get up with to get up with him. We were waiting for his book on growing to be published but he said we might be able to download it. If we can we will bring it here.
