Casual needs Help!!
Hey guys and gals, me again.
So i transplanted my baby a week before flower and now we are 3 weeks into flower.
My question is when i transplanted into a 5 gallon, i was moving up from a 3. So roughly 3 gallons of Fox Farm's Ocean forest soil were added (before it was in MG violet mix) and i mixed in a organic nutrient powder by hydro organics made of bat guano, other beneficial nutrients and a type of fungus that is good for the soil. the break down is 2/9/5. This along with molasses with watering, roughly 1 tbl spoon per gallon. Will this be enough for my flowering sativa? She's 1 foot and 2 inches tall, i just need to now wether or not to purchase additional nutrients. The guys at the shop said i would be good for flower just mixing it into the soil 1.5x the directed amount, which was 10 tblspns per gallon of soil.
thanks, i just need some more added input:rasta:casual Reviewed by casual on . Casual needs Help!! Hey guys and gals, me again. The way I see it, is as long as your plants are looking healthy and don't look like they are having any type of deficiency, then just keep doing what your doing and keep up the good work....Would love to see some bud shots if possible!:rastasmoke::smokin:

I agree with Italiano. With soil amendments, you really have to monitor the health of the plant to determine whether or not they need extra nutrients. Bat guano is an excellent soil ammendment, for sure, but if needed you can also make a tea out of it and fertilize like you would with any water soluble fertilizer. I use guano, and I eventually end up doing that every single grow. When to do it will depend on when your plants need it, so keep a careful watch on them.
Best of luck!

I'm a little curious... my grow isn;t that far along yet... but, how did you determine you needed to transplant up to a 5gal pot with a plant thats roughly 1 foot tall?

Well, to tell you the truth, i transplanted b/c the roots were rootbound, and i was using MG soil Previously in the 3 gallon. I purchased the Fox Farm's oecan forest soil, in hopes for better nutrients for the flowering stage, w/o using heavy ferts. I also purchased some mix in organic ferts of bat guano, worm castings, mytorchortihaze (or something like that) and other ground up organic meal.
I grew the plants in soil with no good nutrinal value for 3 months.
I hoped that upping the pot right before stretching during the first weeks of flowering would be good, and with better soil with mix in nutes, i hoped the sudden burst of nutes would be good the flowering stage, with little nitrogen overall, i posted the breakdown prev.
I just wanted to know wether or not i need to buy more nutes for the flower stage, i was hoping since there wasnt nutes before, that now that there is, the plant would be happy =)
I also was using schtultz food with watering, a 15/20/10 breakdown.
Also using molasses every time i water now

Where did you find FF in Minn.? Just curious. Also, you don't need to use molasses everytime you water. You also don't need to give them nutes when you water now, cut off the schultz if you haven't already.
I wouldn't give any more nutes besides what is in the soil and you will probably be good until the end of flowering. Feeding her nutes now would probably be too much. She will start to yellow up real nice the last few weeks of flowering. This is normal, so don't give her any nutes when this happens, just let her be.

And I use molasses roughly every other watering or so when flowering with little bad effects, but I also monitor the pH closely and make adjustments when it needs it.
Happy growin'.
